図案作成

(1) Designing a pattern and preparing a thread Design a pattern on graph paper based on the original drawing and image. In the past, I used to draw design drawings with a point-by-point pen, but now I design with a personal computer software for designing.
Calculate how much thread you need at this point and prepare the thread.

② Thread take-up/warping
Wind the silk thread into a small frame.
According to the design drawing, warp threads and weft threads are warped to the specified length and number.

(3) Gluing The warp and weft threads that have been warped separately on a sunny day are hardened separately with a squid (seaweed glue) and dried sufficiently in the sunlight. Let it dry further by the next step.

④ Kasuri wrapping with a tightening machine
Use cotton thread as the warp thread and tighten the weft silk thread. Work to prevent dye from seeping into the tightened part. We strongly woven silk thread with cotton thread while matching the design.

⑤ Dyeing (indigo dyeing)
It is dyed by soaking it in an indigo pot many times. There are also plums, quintuplets, sagebrushes, yellow leaves, and cherry dyes.

⑥Preparation process Imprinting dyeing: Rub the color while checking the color designation based on the design. After weaving about 7 cm, loosen the warp, adjust the pattern of the Kasuri with a needle, and repeat it many times before weaving. There are processes such as tearing, grooving, spreading, buffing, and finishing.

⑦ Hand-woven Weaving with a hand-woven "Tabata", weaving about 7 cm, loosen the warp threads and carefully match the patterns one by one.
Although it depends on the pattern and workmanship, it takes about 3 months to complete the work.

⑧ Product inspection It is recognized as a product for the first time after being subjected to 20 kinds of strict inspections such as width and length, color unevenness and unevenness of Kasuri.
